Every August, I have the honor and privilege to teach something at the South West Area Turners convention. This year, fused glass jewelry with decals, zentangle, Texas flag acrylic panel, fused glass dichroic jewelry, and a painted tree on panel. Can't wait to see old friends and make new ones. Some samples
After attending the Missouri Botanical Garden glass show, I was inspired to try some flowers. Biggest challenge, again, was finish. Found copper, found anchors, washers and screwdriver. Wa-la! Would still like to get some leaves attached.
An experiment in enamel colors. Fall trees with oranges, yellows and red with old tree trunks. Spring with green leaves. The green is not a 'spring ' green but a 'summer' darker green. The pieces are 4" w x 8" h and 6 layers thick. Will be mounted in wood diptych frame.
The window light increases the sense of depth in the art.
Finished vitri fusaille lady done at Peter McGrain workshop held at AAE Glass in Cape Coral FL. If you are interested in fused glass or stained glass, and want to go to another level, take Peters class. He is an awesome instructor. Fun class. So much information. Florida is good too!
